The Northern Tasmanian Junior Football Association (NTJFA) proudly marked its 50th rostered season in 2025 by hosting representative football, welcoming teams from the North West Football League (NWFL) and the Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League (STJFL).
The representative clashes were held across May and June, providing a fantastic showcase of junior football talent from across the state.
The NTJFA opened the representative series in strong fashion against the NWFL:
It was a dominant day for the home sides, with both the girls and boys showing great teamwork and determination to secure big wins.
The second round of matches saw the NTJFA host the STJFL in Launceston:
The U17 Girls continued their winning form, while the U16 Boys battled hard against a talented southern side.
The U14s took their turn on the Monday, with two close contests showcasing the future stars of the game:
Both matches were tightly fought, with plenty of positives for the NTJFA youngsters as they gained valuable representative experience.
Hosting representative football in its 50th season was a fitting way for the NTJFA to celebrate five decades of junior football in Northern Tasmania. Across the matches, players wore the NTJFA colours with pride and demonstrated the skill, effort, and spirit that has long been the hallmark of the competition.
The NTJFA thanks the NWFL and STJFL for their participation, and acknowledges the volunteers, coaches, and families who make representative football possible.
As the association reflects on its proud history, these representative games also highlight the bright future of the sport in Northern Tasmania.
