Successful Completion of Inaugural Under 10 Girls Pilot Competition in Northern Tasmania
AFL Tasmania and the Northern Tasmanian Junior Football Association (NTJFA) are celebrating the successful completion of the inaugural Under 10 Girls Pilot Competition in Launceston. The five-week competition, designed to provide young girls with an opportunity to begin their football journey, has been hailed as a resounding success.
The competition, which kicked off in mid-February, featured modified rules including smaller teams, 10-minute quarters, and a no-tackling policy. This format allowed young girls to develop fundamental skills in a fun and inclusive environment while creating a clear pathway for their continued participation in football.
