The Northern Tasmanian Junior Football Association’s representative teams travelled to North Hobart Oval across Sunday 7th and Monday 8th June for the 2026 STJFL v NTJFA Representative Series, proudly pulling on the NTJFA jumper and showcasing the talent, commitment and spirit of junior football in Northern Tasmania
Across the weekend, four NTJFA teams took the field against strong Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League opposition, with players representing their clubs and region with great pride. The series provided another valuable opportunity for our young footballers to experience representative football, test themselves against quality opposition, and continue their development within the Tasmanian football pathway.

The U17 Girls produced a standout result for the NTJFA, claiming a strong 5.11 (41) to 1.2 (8) win over STJFL. The team displayed excellent determination, teamwork and sportsmanship, with Cammi Thomas from Tamar Valley Junior Football Club recognised as NTJFA Best on Ground. The side was coached by Craig Fox, with Jaimee Todman serving as Assistant Coach.

The U16 Boys put in a determined performance in their match, with STJFL finishing ahead 7.14 (56) to NTJFA 5.8 (38). Despite the result, the NTJFA boys showed great commitment and continued to compete strongly throughout the game. Declan Knight from Scottsdale Football Club was named NTJFA Best on Ground, with Corey Bourke coaching the side alongside Assistant Coach Victor Marshall.

The U14 Girls also represented the NTJFA with pride, taking on a strong STJFL outfit. STJFL recorded a 5.6 (36) to 2.3 (15) win, but the NTJFA players showed fantastic effort, determination and sportsmanship. Indi Dodd from East Launceston Junior Football Club was awarded NTJFA Best on Ground, with Sian Beeton coaching the team and Ella Nast as Assistant Coach

The U14 Boys also represented the NTJFA with pride, taking on a strong STJFL outfit. STJFL recorded a 7.16 (58) to 0.3 (3) win, but the NTJFA players showed fantastic effort, determination and sportsmanship. Jarrah Holloway from Longford Junior Football Club was awarded NTJFA Best on Ground, with Drew Bardenhagen coaching the team and Mathew O’Donoghue as Assistant Coach.
Friday 10th April 2026 saw the NTJFA 2026 season kick-off.
