Sunday, 27 July 2025, saw the Prospect and East Launceston U14 & U17 girls compete for the Shyanne-Lee Memorial Cup, now in its second year!
Our association came together to honour the memory of Shyanne-Lee, whose life was tragically cut short in Launceston in 2023, while also promoting awareness and educating our members on the importance of youth safety.
All the girls played some amazing football, but it was East Launceston who proved the stronger competitors on the day, coming away with the win and taking home the trophy.
We sincerely thank Bobbi-Lee, mother of Shyanne-Lee, for her support in allowing us to host the Cup and for helping to educate our young players on youth safety. We also extend our gratitude to Craig Fox for taking the time to speak with the girls before the game, sharing important messages about youth safety.
A huge thank you also goes out to the players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and supporters who made this event a success.
Together, we are building a safer future for our youth – on and off the field.
